Air-Weigh Scale Features
The in-dash display accurately shows the steer and drive axle group weights, GVW and NET payload weights. Warning and overweight alarm outputs are standard. Weight receipts can be printed on an optional printer. The scale also has a J1708 interface that can be used to transmit weight information to on-board computers.
How It Works
The Air-Weigh straight truck scale works on most trucks with front spring axles and air suspension on the drive axle. It converts air pressure in the drive axle air springs into a very accurate on-the-ground weight. The heavier the load, the more air pressure required to maintain ride-height. A deflection sensor measures the flex of the vehicle’s steer axle, providing an accurate weight indication for vehicles with leaf spring front axles. Once calibrated, the straight truck scale displays the weights of the drive and steer axle groups and gross vehicle weight (GVW). Properly calibrated and used, Air-Weigh’s straight truck scales
Easy to Operate
Air-Weigh’s simple on-screen menu makes it easy to setup and calibrate your scale. Drivers can learn to use Air-Weigh scales in just a few minutes. Air-Weigh has both instruction cards and videos available for training drivers on proper scale operation. Scale operation involves parking the vehicle on a level surface with the engine running, wheels straight, and the brakes released. The drive air suspension is briefly deflated, then allowed to return to ride height with the brakes released.
